Don’t feel left out. All the reasons I gave on why organizations need millennials apply equally to you, anolder intrapreneurwho hasnot lost your spark. Your willingness to take initiative and stand up for your ideas mayhave been blunted, but you can reignite it. You have enormous advantages over the young. Intrapreneuring has to operate inside the corporation and you know your way around itmuch better than the young. You have a track record and friends inside the organization. Your experience may help you to see the larger picture within which what appears to be an unsolvable problem is embedded. From the viewpoint of your understanding of the larger system there may be an obvious solution. My advice, which I am following myself as a 78year-old entrepreneur, is to build a team with both older and younger people. Get the advantage of both points of view. You can do this either by leading a team to which you recruit people of all ages or by joining a team lead by ayoung intrapreneur that can use your experience. Now is the time. If you wait your employer may be one of the disrupted ones, with tightening controls as it spirals down to oblivion
