Phase 2
Acceleration to Quick Wins

The Intrapreneurial Resilience Accelerator
The Intrapreneurial Resilience Accelerator takes the teams with resilience building ideas
from Phase I through the rapid development, testing, and redesigning of their ideas. At the end teams present well developed business plans to management for funding and support.
More
Intrapreneurial Resilience Accelerator has three goals. To move the teams in the workshop:
1. From an employee mindset to an intrapreneurial one
2. From an idea to a tested business plan
3. From a group to a high performance team
At the end of the accelerator, teams present their business plans to a panel of executives who decide which to fund. The executives see tested plans, rapid prototypes and technical and market research on which to base their decisions. They are consequently far better informed than when they would be judging early stage ideas.
The output of the Intrapreneurial Resilience Accelerator is teams that go on to create resilience wins that inspire the organization to make a deeper commitment to developing the culture and systems that support widespread intrapreneurial resilience.
Sponsor Training
Sponsors are managers who go out of their way to guide, protect, and find resources for a specific intrapreneurial team. The supply of effective sponsors is a primary gating factor controlling the volume of innovations and the resilience of the organization.
More
The Sponsor Development
Sponsor Development teaches managers to distinguish the true intrapreneurs who can be trusted to implement from the promoters who talk a good game, but don’t get it done. It teaches ways to support and influence intrapreneurs, who are by their nature intrinsically-motivated and self-directing. Sponsor Development participants practice their new skills by coaching the teams in the Intrapreneurial Resilience Accelerator.
The relationship between sponsors and the intrapreneurial team is a close and supportive
relationship, quite different from the role of traditional manager with an employee. Sponsorship is an voluntary relationship based on mutual enthusiasm and trust. Sponsors are frequently not part of an intrapreneur’s chain of command.

Quick Wins
Many of the ideas that are funded at the end of the accelerator go on to produce quick strategic, financial, and resilience wins. Those wins build the confidence needed for a larger transformation to that makes an organization better prepared for the rapid changes in technologies, climate, geopolitics, health systems, and government that lie in the near future.
